Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Jeremiah 2:35:1 ⧉וַתֹּֽאמְרִי֙vatomeriand you said Jeremiah 2:35:2 ⧉כִּ֣יkithat Jeremiah 2:35:3 ⧉נִקֵּ֔יתִיnikkeitiI am clean or innocent Jeremiah 2:35:4 ⧉אַ֛ךְakhsurely or only Jeremiah 2:35:5 ⧉שָׁ֥בshavhas turned back or has returned Jeremiah 2:35:6 ⧉אַפּ֖וֹapohis anger Jeremiah 2:35:7 ⧉מִמֶּ֑נִּיmimmenifrom me Jeremiah 2:35:8 ⧉הִנְנִי֙hinnibehold me or here I am Jeremiah 2:35:9 ⧉נִשְׁפָּ֣טnishpatI will enter into judgment Jeremiah 2:35:10 ⧉אוֹתָ֔ךְotakhwith you Jeremiah 2:35:11 ⧉עַל־אָמְרֵ֖ךְalomerekhbecause of your saying Jeremiah 2:35:12 ⧉לֹ֥אlonot Jeremiah 2:35:13 ⧉חָטָֽאתִי׃khatatiI sinned |
35. Formal Translation And you say, "Because I am innocent, surely His anger has turned from me." Behold, I {Yahweh, Righteous Judge} will bring judgment against you because you say, "I have not sinned." |
35. Dynamic Translation Yet you claim, "I am innocent; so surely His anger is gone from me." But look, I {Yahweh, Justice Upholder} will judge you because you say, "I have not sinned." |
