10. Formal Translation Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Supreme Master}, surely You have indeed deceived this people and Jerusalem by declaring ‘Peace will be yours,’ but the sword has reached to the very life.” |
10. Dynamic Translation So I replied, “Oh, Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Sovereign Ruler}, You have truly led this people and Jerusalem to believe, ‘You will have peace,’ yet the sword has reached even to life.” |
