Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Jeremiah 7:28:1 ⧉וְאָמַרְתָּ֣veamartaand you shall say Jeremiah 7:28:2 ⧉אֲלֵיהֶ֗םalehemto them Jeremiah 7:28:3 ⧉זֶ֤הzethis Jeremiah 7:28:4 ⧉הַגּוֹי֙hagoythe nation Jeremiah 7:28:5 ⧉אֲשֶׁ֣רasherthat Jeremiah 7:28:6 ⧉לֽוֹא־שָׁמְע֗וּloshameunot listened Jeremiah 7:28:7 ⧉בְּקוֹל֙bekolto the voice of Jeremiah 7:28:8 ⧉יְהוָ֣הyahwehthe LORD Jeremiah 7:28:9 ⧉אֱלֹהָ֔יוelohavhis God Jeremiah 7:28:10 ⧉וְלֹ֥אveloand not Jeremiah 7:28:11 ⧉לָקְח֖וּlakhuthey took Jeremiah 7:28:12 ⧉מוּסָ֑רmusardiscipline Jeremiah 7:28:13 ⧉אָֽבְדָה֙avedahas perished Jeremiah 7:28:14 ⧉הָֽאֱמוּנָ֔הhaemunathe faithfulness Jeremiah 7:28:15 ⧉וְנִכְרְתָ֖הvenikhretaand has been cut off Jeremiah 7:28:16 ⧉מִפִּיהֶֽם׃סmipihemfrom their mouth |
28. Formal Translation And you shall say to them, “This is the nation that has not obeyed the voice of the LORD their God {Yahweh Elohav, Covenant Authority}, nor accepted discipline; faithfulness has perished and is cut off from their mouth.” |
28. Dynamic Translation Tell them, “This is the nation that does not listen to the voice of the LORD their God {Yahweh Elohav, Disciplining Ruler}, nor accept correction; truth has vanished from their lips.” |
