12. Formal Translation Who is the wise man who can understand this? And to whom has the mouth of the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Judge} spoken so that he can declare it? For what reason has the land perished and been burned up like a wilderness, so that no one passes through? |
12. Dynamic Translation Is anyone wise enough to grasp this? Who has heard the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Speaker} speak and can explain why the land is ruined and scorched like a desert, with no one passing through it? |
