So his own joy would settle in them, and their joy would reach completion

So they would face no hardship after hearing him

So they would have material for later teaching

So they would know he had finished speaking

They understand every detail of the future

Keep returning to Jesus' words and let them shape your joy

Treat Jesus' words as helpful, but rely mostly on circumstances for joy

Use Jesus' words mainly as information for discussion

Wait for life to get easier before taking joy seriously
