Use your influence mainly to keep order, even if someone gets hurt

Wait to care until the situation is less uncomfortable

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. You were treated harshly for my sake, and I turn from my sin now. I confess you as my Lord and Savior and ask you to lead my life. Amen.

Receive the Suffering Savior

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown numb to cruelty and slow to defend the weak. Give us the heart of Jesus for the mistreated, the courage to stand with the harmed, and the humility to use power rightly. Awaken us to mercy, justice, and compassion, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Compassion in Your People

Father, when I feel hurt, powerless, or treated unfairly, remind me that Jesus knows harsh treatment from the inside. Hold me close, steady my heart, and bring help and peace to me today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Comfort for the Wounded

Bring these to God: any time you have used strength, influence, or words to wound someone; any habit of staying silent when another person is mistreated; any hard place in you that needs repentance and a gentler spirit.

Turning from Harshness

Pray by naming one leader, workplace, or system where power can be misused. Ask God to make it just, to protect the vulnerable, and to give you courage to speak or act with wisdom.

Praying for Just Authority

Give thanks for Jesus' willingness to suffer under unjust power, for his understanding of human pain, and for the hope that his suffering was not the end of the story.

Thanks for Jesus' Endurance
