Come Near to Jesus

Lord, revive your Church to remain near your cross. Where we have become distant, make us faithful; where we avoid suffering, teach us compassion; where we are silent, give us courage to witness with love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church Steadfast at the Cross

Father, be near everyone who is standing beside pain today. Comfort those who grieve, strengthen those who keep watch, and let them know that your Son sees them and is with them, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Give thanks for the quiet faithfulness of those who stay near when pain is heavy, for mothers and friends who keep watch, and for the witness of loving presence at the cross.
