No one has gone up to heaven except the one who came from there

A few people have already gone up to heaven

Only the most spiritual people can get there

Listen to Jesus with trust and let his words shape your choices

Treat Jesus' teaching as helpful, but no more important than any other voice

Try to earn access to God by your own progress first

Keep spiritual truth private and untethered from any person

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and cannot reach God by my own effort. I believe you came down from heaven, died for my sins, and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Bring me into the life that only you can give. Amen.

Receive the One From Heaven

Lord, revive your Church to honor the Son of Man who came down from heaven. Deliver us from pride, self-reliance, and shallow religion. Make us a people who trust your Son, listen to his words, and point the world to the One who alone reveals heaven. Wake us up again, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive the Church to Trust Jesus

Pray by naming one area where you have been trying to get to God in your own strength. Ask Jesus to meet you there, show you his way, and give you one clear step to take today.

Pray for One Step of Faith

Give thanks that heaven did not stay distant. Thank God that Jesus came down to make him known and to draw you near to him.

Thank You for Heaven Coming Near

Bring any pride, spiritual striving, or independence before God. Ask him to replace it with humility and glad trust in the one who came from heaven.

Lay Down Self-Reliance

Pray for someone who thinks God is far away, unreachable, or only for the spiritually strong. Ask that Jesus' nearness and authority would become clear to them.
