29. Formal Translation The one who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who is standing and listening to him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore, this joy of mine is fulfilled. |
29. Dynamic Translation The bride is the bridegroom’s. But the bridegroom’s friend, who keeps his place and listens, is filled with delight when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. So my gladness is now complete. |
