You can always trace where it came from and where it is going.

The same pattern is said to apply to everyone born of the Spirit.

Stay open to the Spirit’s leading and respond to the signs God gives.

Wait to obey until every detail is fully explained.

Assume that what you cannot trace is not trustworthy.

Treat mystery as a reason to ignore spiritual change.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to direct my own life. I need your mercy and your new life. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord. Give me new birth by your Spirit and make me yours. Amen.

Receive New Birth

Lord, breathe your Spirit on your Church again. Where we have become dry, cautious, or self-directed, wake us up. Make us a people who listen for your movement, trust what we cannot map, and bear the evidence of new life to the world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Breathe on Your Church Again

Father, where I want control and clear answers, make me teachable. Help me notice your leading, respond with trust, and walk in step with your Spirit, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Teach Me to Follow Your Leading

Name one area where you feel confused or tempted to control the outcome. Ask God for a softer heart, clearer spiritual attentiveness, and the courage to obey the next thing he makes clear.

Pray for Open Ears

Thank God for: the ways he has already been at work in your life; the evidence of change you can see even if you cannot fully explain it; the gift of hearing his voice and recognizing his leading.

Thank God for the Signs

Pray for: a friend who seems far from God; someone whose life feels directionless or stuck; that the Spirit would bring real new birth and visible change, even in hidden ways.

Pray for Someone Needing New Life
