Come to the One the Scriptures Testify About

Father, revive your people so we do not search the Scriptures for information alone. Give us hunger to meet Jesus, faith to trust him for eternal life, and humility to let every page bear witness to him in us. Awaken your Church to read, believe, and follow, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church Through Your Word

Begin by thanking God that the Scriptures point to Jesus. Then ask him to show you Christ in the passage, to correct anything you have trusted in place of him, and to give you one clear response of faith.

Ask to See Jesus in the Passage

Thank God for the sacred writings that point beyond themselves to Jesus; thank him for eternal life found in Christ; thank him for every passage that has led you toward faith, hope, and worship.

Thankful for a Witnessing Bible

Lord, give new believers, longtime readers, and Bible teachers eyes to see Jesus in the text. Let your Word lead them to trust him for life and to speak about him faithfully to others, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
