24. Formal Translation And it came to pass when they brought out these kings to Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel and said to the commanders of the men of war who had gone with him, “Draw near; place your feet upon the necks of these kings.” And they drew near and placed their feet upon their necks. |
24. Dynamic Translation When they had brought out these kings to Joshua, Joshua summoned all the Israelites and told the commanders who had gone with him, “Come; put your feet on the necks of these kings.” So they came and put their feet on their necks. |
