27. Formal Translation And it happened at the time when the sun went down that Joshua commanded, and they brought them down from the trees and threw them into the cave where they had hidden themselves. Then they placed large stones over the mouth of the cave, which remain to this very day. |
27. Dynamic Translation At sunset, Joshua gave the order; they took the bodies down from the trees and threw them into the cave where they had hidden themselves. Heavy stones were piled over the cave’s entrance, and they are still there today. |
