8. Formal Translation And the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Deliverer} gave them into the hand of Israel, and they struck them and pursued them as far as Great Sidon, and to Misrephoth Mayim and to the Valley of Mizpah eastward, until no survivor was left. |
8. Dynamic Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Victorious Champion} handed them over to Israel, and they defeated and chased them all the way to Greater Sidon, to Misrephoth Mayim, and to the eastern Valley of Mizpah. They kept attacking until not a single person remained. |
