| 5. Formal Translation And the eastern boundary was the Salt Sea up to the edge of the Jordan, and the northern border lay from the bay of the sea to the point where the Jordan ends. |
| 5. Dynamic Translation The boundary on the east ran along the Dead Sea as far as where the Jordan River ends. The northern boundary began at the inlet of the sea, at the place where the Jordan reaches its end. |
