| 10. Formal Translation But they did not dispossess the Canaanite who dwelt in Gezer, so the Canaanite has remained among Ephraim until this day and has become a levy of labor. |
| 10. Dynamic Translation Ephraim did not drive out the Canaanite living in Gezer, so to this very day the Canaanite lives among the people of Ephraim and serves under forced labor. |
