The construct al-penei {עַל־פְּנֵי | ʿal-pə-nê} ‘upon the face of’ introduces the viewpoint of the hill, while tsfonah {צָפוֹנָה | ṣā-pō-nā} ‘northward’ and negbah {נֶגְבָּה | ne-ḡă-bā} ‘southward’ establish orientation.
