The waw-conjoined list (Gad, Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh) forms a new clause whose perfect verb laqechu {לָקְח֣וּ | lāqəḥû} ‘they took’ presents a completed allotment, further located by the stacked prepositional and directional expressions me-eber la-yarden mizrachah {מֵעֵבֶר לַיַּרְדֵּן מִזְרָחָה | mē-ʿēver layyardēn mizrāḥā} ‘beyond the Jordan, eastward’.
