The construct phrase chatzar–shual {חֲצַר־שׁוּעָל | ḥaẓar-šû‘āl} ‘settlement of Shual’ designates the first locale. The items u-bala {וּבָלָה | ū·bālā} ‘and Balah’ and va-atzem {וָעָצֶם | vā·‘āṣem} ‘and Azem’ maintain the paratactic enumeration.
