7. Formal Translation And the men pursued after them by the way of the Jordan toward the fords, and the gate was shut after the pursuers went out. |
7. Dynamic Translation So the men chased after them along the road to the Jordan, heading for the crossings, and as soon as the pursuers had gone out, the gate was closed. |
