Preventive justice is conveyed in wəlōʾ yāmût bəyad gōʾēl haddām {וְלֹא יָמוּת בְּיַד גֹּאֵל הַדָּם | wəlōʾ yāmût bəyad gōʾēl haddām} ‘and he shall not die by the hand of the avenger of blood’.
