The parallel infinitive constructs latet-lanu arim lashavet {לָתֶת־לָנוּ עָרִים לָשָׁבֶת | lā·tet-lâ·nû ʿā·rîm lā·šā·vê·t} ‘to give us cities to dwell in’ and umigreshehem livhemtenu {וּמִגְרְשֵׁיהֶן לִבְהֶמְתֵּנוּ | ū·mig·rə·šê·hem li·bhe·mĕ·tê·nû} ‘and their pasturelands for our livestock’ express the legal grant and its intended use.
