23. Formal Translation Which the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheichem, Divine Deliverer} dried up the waters of the Jordan from before you until you crossed over, just as the LORD your God did to the Sea of Reeds, which He dried up from before us until we crossed over. |
23. Dynamic Translation The LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheichem, Mighty Deliverer} dried up the Jordan River before you until you had crossed, just as He did for us at the Sea of Reeds when He made it dry so we could pass through. |
