15. Formal Translation And the commander of the army of the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Leader} said to Joshua, “Take off your sandal from upon your foot, for the place on which you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so. |
15. Dynamic Translation The commander of the LORD's {Yahweh, Heavenly Commander} army told Joshua, “Take off your sandal from your foot because where you are standing is holy ground.” So Joshua did it. |
