14. Formal Translation He replied, “No, but as commander of the army of the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Warrior}, I have now come.” Then Joshua fell to the ground and bowed down, and he said to him, “What does my lord say to his servant?” |
14. Dynamic Translation “Neither,” he answered, “I have come now as the commander of the LORD’s {Yahweh, Supreme Battle Leader} army.” Joshua immediately fell face down to the ground and worshiped, asking, “What message does my master have for his servant?” |
