9. Formal Translation And the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Deliverer} said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you.” And he called the name of that place Gilgal until this very day. |
9. Dynamic Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Shame Remover} said to Joshua, “Today I have taken away the shame of Egypt from you.” So the place has been called Gilgal up to this day. |
