16. Formal Translation And the sons of the Kenite, Moses’ father-in-law, went up from the City of Palms with the sons of Judah to the wilderness of Judah, which is in the Negev near Arad, and they went and settled with the people. |
16. Dynamic Translation The descendants of Moses’ father-in-law—the Kenite—left the City of Palms with the tribe of Judah and traveled into the desert region of Judah, which is in the Negev near Arad. There they went and lived among the people. |
