16. Formal Translation And the angel of the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Messenger} said to Manoah, “Even if you detain me, I will not eat of your bread; but if you prepare a burnt offering, you must offer it to the LORD.” For Manoah did not know that he was the angel of the LORD. |
16. Dynamic Translation The angel of the LORD told Manoah, “If you hold me here, I will not eat your bread, but if you make a burnt offering, present it to the LORD {Yahweh, Worthy Recipient}.” Manoah had not realized that this was the LORD’s angel. |
