23. Formal Translation And his wife said to him, “If the LORD{Yahweh, Preserver of Life} had desired to kill us, He would not have taken a burnt offering and a grain offering from our hand, nor would He have shown us all these things, nor at this time have caused us to hear such things.” |
23. Dynamic Translation His wife answered him, “If the LORD{Yahweh, Life Protector} intended to put us to death, He would not have accepted from our hand a burnt offering or a grain offering. He would not have let us see all this, and He would not be telling us such things at this very moment.” |
