| 11. Formal Translation Then three thousand men from Judah went down to the cleft of the rock at Etam and said to Samson, “Do you not know that the Philistines are ruling over us? What is this that you have done to us?” And he said to them, “As they did to me, so I have done to them.” |
| 11. Dynamic Translation So three thousand men from Judah went down to the crevice at Etam and told Samson, “Do you not realize the Philistines are our rulers? Why have you done this to us?” Samson replied, “I have only done to them what they did to me.” |
