| 12. Formal Translation And they said to him, “We have come down to bind you and hand you over to the Philistines.” And Samson said to them, “Swear to me that you will not attack me yourselves.” |
| 12. Dynamic Translation They answered him, “We came to tie you up and deliver you to the Philistines.” Samson replied, “Pledge to me that you yourselves will not harm me.” |
