| 19. Formal Translation And they said to him, “Be silent; put your hand upon your mouth, come with us, and be for us a father and a priest. Is it better for you to serve as priest for the house of one man, or to serve as priest for a tribe and clan in Israel?” |
| 19. Dynamic Translation They told him, “Say nothing. Cover your mouth and come with us. Be our father and priest. Which is better for you—serving as priest in a single household, or serving as priest for an entire tribe and clan among the people of Israel?” |
