| 45. Formal Translation And they turned and fled to the wilderness, to the rock of Rimmon, and they overtook them on the highways, five thousand men. And they pursued after them as far as Gidom and struck down from them two thousand men. |
| 45. Dynamic Translation So they turned and ran toward the wilderness, heading for the rock of Rimmon. On the roads, they caught up with and killed five thousand men. Chasing them as far as Gidom, they struck down two thousand more. |
