21. Formal Translation Then Jael, wife of Heber, took the tent peg and placed the hammer in her hand. She came quietly to him and drove the tent peg into his temple so that it sank into the ground. He was sound asleep and weary, and he died. |
21. Dynamic Translation But Jael, wife of Heber, grabbed a tent peg and placed the hammer in her hand. She crept up to him quietly as he lay fast asleep and exhausted, and drove the tent peg through his temple into the ground. He died. |
