21. Formal Translation And the angel of the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Messenger} stretched out the tip of the staff that was in his hand, touched the meat and the unleavened bread, and fire went up from the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened bread. Then the angel of the LORD departed from his sight. |
21. Dynamic Translation The angel of the LORD {Yahweh, Supernatural Visitor} reached out the end of the staff he was holding and touched the meat and the unleavened bread. Then fire sprang up from the rock, consumed the meat and the unleavened bread, and the angel of the LORD vanished from his view. |
