6. Formal Translation He laid waste His booth like a garden shelter; He wrecked His appointed meeting place. The LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge} caused festival and Sabbath to be forgotten in Zion, and He rejected both king and priest in the indignation of His anger. |
6. Dynamic Translation He pulled down His dwelling as easily as a hut in a garden; He crushed His gathering place. The LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Enforcer} caused Zion to lose remembrance of her appointed festivals and Sabbaths, and in fierce indignation He spurned both king and priest. |
