Exegesis

The relative clause ʾăšer yā-ṣû-ḏ ṣē-yî-ḏ ḥay-yāh ʿōp̄ ʾăšer yē-ʾā-kēl {אֲשֶׁר יָצ֜וּד צֵ֥יד חַיָּה אוֹ־ע֖וֹף אֲשֶׁר יֵאָכֵ֑ל | ʾăšer yā-ṣû-ḏ ṣē-yî-ḏ ḥay-yāh ʿōp̄ ʾăšer yē-ʾā-kēl} ‘that he hunts prey, animal or bird, which is eaten’ specifies permissible game.
