| 15. Formal Translation And any person who eats what dies of itself or what is torn by beasts, whether among the native-born or among the sojourner, shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and will be unclean until evening; then he will be clean. |
| 15. Dynamic Translation Anyone, whether native-born or a foreigner, who eats a dead animal or one torn by wild beasts must wash their clothes and bathe in water. They will remain unclean until evening, but after that they will be clean. |
