| 20. Formal Translation Fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. Just as he causes an injury to a person, so it shall be inflicted upon him. |
| 20. Dynamic Translation If someone injures another—breaking a bone or blinding an eye, or knocking out a tooth—the same harm will be done to him. |
