42. Formal Translation But woe to you, Pharisees, because you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and you neglect justice and the love of God {Theos, Supreme Authority}. These things you ought to have done, and not to have neglected the others. |
42. Dynamic Translation Woe to you, Pharisees! You give a tenth of your mint, rue, and every other herb, but you overlook justice and love of God {Theos, Moral Standard}. You should have done these things without neglecting the others. |
