48. Formal Translation But the one who did not know and yet did things deserving blows will be beaten with few blows. From the one to whom much was given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much was entrusted, more will be demanded. |
48. Dynamic Translation But the person who was unaware and did things worthy of punishment will receive a few lashes. Everyone to whom much was given, from him much will be required; and from the one to whom much was entrusted, they will demand even more. |
