| 20. Formal Translation And having watched Him {Iesous, Galilean Rabbi} closely, they sent spies who pretended to be righteous, in order that they might seize on His word, so as to deliver Him to the rule and the jurisdiction of the governor. |
| 20. Dynamic Translation So they kept a close watch on Him {Iesous, Watched Teacher}, and sent undercover agents, hoping to catch Him in something He said, so they could hand Him over to the control and jurisdiction of the governor. |
