36. Formal Translation
He also spoke a parable to them, saying that no one tears a patch from a new garment and puts it on an old garment; otherwise, he will tear the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old.
36. Dynamic Translation
He also told them a story: “No one cuts a piece from a new coat to patch an old one; if he does, he will ruin the new coat, and the piece from the new will not fit the old.”
