48. Formal Translation
He is like a man erecting a house who dug down and sank his foundation into the rock. When the flood came, the river struck that house but could not shake it, because it had been well built.
48. Dynamic Translation
He is like a person who built a home, dug down deep, and set its foundation on solid rock. When floodwaters rose, the river pummeled that home, yet it could not move it because it was built so well.
