24. Formal Translation Approaching, they awakened Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing.” Then He {Iesous, Commander of Storms} awoke and rebuked the wind and the surge of the water, and they ceased, and there was calm. |
24. Dynamic Translation They came and woke Him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we are about to die!” Then He {Iesous, Rescuer in Danger} got up and rebuked the wind and the violent waves, and they stopped, and there was deep calm. |
