11. Formal Translation Judah has acted treacherously, and an abomination has occurred in Israel and in Jerusalem. For Judah has profaned the sanctuary of the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Defender}, which he loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god. |
11. Dynamic Translation Judah has betrayed trust, and a detestable thing has happened in Israel and in Jerusalem. Because Judah has dishonored the sacred things of the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Protector}, which he loved, and has married the daughter of a foreign god. |
