For he had often been bound with fetters and chains, yet he tore the chains apart and smashed the fetters, and no one had strength to subdue him.
4. Dynamic Translation
People restrained him again and again with chains and shackles, but he ripped the chains to pieces and broke the shackles, and nobody could subdue him.
