If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have put other loves before you and sinned against you. I cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and open my life to you. Be my Lord and my Savior, and teach me to love you above every other claim. Amen.

Jesus First in My Life

Father, revive your Church so that we love your Son above every competing loyalty. Free us from fear of people, heal divided hearts, and make us a people who obey Jesus with courage and gentleness. Let our homes see that Christ comes first, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Our First Love

Pray by naming one family expectation that competes with obedience to Jesus. Confess any fear of disappointing others, ask for a respectful next step, and then listen for the courage to do it.

Pray Through Family Pressure

Thank God for fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters; thank him for the gift of family love; and thank him for teaching you to love family without making it your highest loyalty.

Giving Thanks for Family

Lord, bring peace into homes where following Jesus is difficult. Give patience, truth, and mutual respect. Help families to love one another well while honoring Jesus above every other claim, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Peace in Homes Under Pressure

Bring these to God: misplaced fear of family approval; the desire to keep Jesus first; a willingness to obey him with gentleness; trust that he can help you honor family rightly.
