If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and that I have resisted you when your way has challenged me. I cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Teach me to trust you and not turn away from you. Amen.

Receive Jesus Without Stumbling

Lord, revive your Church so we do not stumble over Jesus when he surprises us, confronts us, or calls us to a costly faith. Give us humble hearts, steady trust, and joy in your Son. Wake us up again to follow him with gladness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Awaken the Church to Trust the Messiah

Pray by naming one place where Jesus' way feels hard to receive. Ask God for humility, ask him to keep you from drifting, and ask for the next faithful step before you act.

Pray for Steady Trust

Thank God that blessing is not reserved for the people who understand everything, but for those who keep trusting Jesus. Thank him for the grace to stay near when his ways are unexpected, and for times he has held you steady.

Thankful for the Blessing of Trust

Father, I confess that I have wanted Jesus to fit my preferences instead of receiving him as he is. Forgive my pride, fear, and shallow trust. Turn my heart back to your Son, and help me welcome him with humility, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
