If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I have looked in many places, and I confess that my heart has wandered from you. I admit my sin and my need for your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Teach me to seek you with an honest heart and follow your voice. Amen.

Receive the One You Seek

Lord, revive your church. Where we have treated you like a curiosity, turn us into a people who hunger for your voice. Make us steady in faith, clear in witness, and ready to point others to Christ rather than to ourselves, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Our Seeking

Father, form in me a sincere and teachable heart. Keep me from looking only for novelty, and make me willing to receive what Jesus says, even when it unsettles me. Help me seek him with honesty and follow through in obedience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Form an Honest Heart

Begin by asking God, "What am I really looking for?" Then tell him one honest motive, one distraction, and one request for help to seek Jesus above everything else.

Pray Before You Answer

Thank God for Jesus' patient, probing questions; for the way he does not merely entertain crowds but draws hearts to truth; and for the gift of being invited to seek him with honesty.

Give Thanks for Jesus' Questions

Pray for friends, family, or neighbors who are searching in many places: that they would encounter Jesus, recognize his voice, and find what their hearts truly need. Ask God to raise up faithful witnesses who point them to Christ.
